Without daily correction, there is no progress
You can watch a thousand videos and do a thousand app exercises: if no one listens to you and tells you what you're doing wrong, you'll repeat the same mistake a thousand times. That's why the core of our courses is correcting you every day, by hand.
Accents get reduced, not erased
We work so you speak with confidence and are understood on the first try — not so you sound like a fake native. A soft, comprehensible accent is a real achievement; erasing it completely, almost never.
Our relationship… with languages
We've lived and worked in several countries and learned languages from scratch. Learning the basics — buying bread, ordering at a bar, holding a short conversation — was thrilling. What frustrated us came later.
When we wanted to have real conversations with natives we always hit the same wall: we couldn't follow them when they spoke fast or among themselves, and they couldn't understand us. Very often they switched to English.
Why? Because our language classes had never really taught us pronunciation beyond four isolated sounds. And without pronunciation it's almost impossible to hold a colloquial conversation. That's how SPA was born.
